Breakthrough
What does it really mean to break through? Not just to patch something broken, or to rush recklessly forward, but to genuinely force through opposition and arrive at something greater than where we are right now. That is the heart of what we explore in this message, rooted in the powerful account of David and the Philistines in 1 Chronicles 14. When David faced an enemy that deliberately spread itself across the Valley of Rephaim, the very valley associated with giants, it was a calculated act of intimidation. Yet David did not respond in fear or in overconfidence. He went to God. And when God moved, it was not a trickle. It was like a dam bursting. The place was renamed Baal-perazim, meaning the Lord who burst through, because God did not just give David a narrow escape. He shattered the enemy at the enemy's most sacred stronghold. That image carries a profound message for us. There are areas in our lives where the enemy has told us that victory is simply not possible. This message challenges that lie head-on and invites us to believe that God wants to meet us at precisely those places and break through on our behalf.
